Looking for Some Extra Time?
At CyberSense, we're huge fans of finding creative ways to better manage our time. One of the best ways we've found to do that is by combining "personal development" and "networking" within the same activity.
For those of you in the Bay Area, check out this website. While we don’t officially endorse or market any of Workit's products and services, we do regularly view their listing of local educational workshops, seminars, and networking events for our own use. Their scheduling format completely hits the mark. You can find almost every important event in the Bay Area within one unified place. While most of the events charge a fee, we've found many of them to be reasonably priced based on the content, quality of the presentation, and influential attendees.
While many of us have a working knowledge of important networking skills, it never hurts to brush up on good networking concepts. We recommend Power Networking: 59 Secrets for Personal and Professional Success by Donna Fisher and Sandy Vilas. The book is simply written for a quick read and can be used as a reference guide.
